Angel is the audio engineer equivalent of a fine art conservator. Her treatment of an artist's work is done with the utmost judgement and taste. From the perspective of the artist, her mastering work is the difference between a dirty and damaged canvas containing a painting obscured by grime, and a clear, crisp, and fidelitous image which exists in the full range of color and texture that the artist envisioned. However, from the perspective of the listener, none of her work is salient, and thus does not obstruct or distract from the artist's communication of their vision. What exists instead is a more successfully realized version of the ideal piece.

Since I was pouring so much of myself and my time into my album, I really wanted to make sure it sounded the best it possibly could, and a few trusted sources all said Angel was the one to turn to. And were they definitely right! Not only did Angel's technical prowess make each track shine, but her advice and insights were absolutely invaluable and helped me identify both flaws I'd overlooked, and places where I could make a good track sound great. I would heartily recommend her to anyone else, and plan on reaching out to her again for my next project!

Angel did such an amazing job! She demonstrated a knack for not just polishing everything up, but for really digging into the unique elements of each track and bringing forward their best qualities, while still letting them feel like a cohesive whole that belongs together. Reaching out to Angel Marcloid A/V was one of the best decisions I made while working on my first project as a solo artist. Angel mixed and mastered my album and made it sound so professional without sacrificing any of the lo-fi feel I was going for. In March of 2019, we needed to find a new video post-production person as our previous volunteer, who had been doing it for 9 years, was ready to retire. Before we even had the chance to put the word out, Angel contacted us and offered her services. That’s pretty remarkable, since no one else had made such an offer during the previous nine years. That, to me, indicates Angel’s deep attunement to the “field of intelligence” which is the central theme of BatGap and most spiritual traditions.

From the outset, working with Angel has been easy and enjoyable. She understands what we want and accomplishes it quickly. When she first started, within minutes, she solved a technical problem that had been stumping us for a couple of years, and in doing so significantly improved the audio quality of our videos. Working with Angel to master my EP was a great experience from start to finish. She was responsive, professional, and highly skilled and knowledgeable, not to mention very pleasant! I'm not exceptionally well versed in the more technical side of music production, but she was patient and informative, and clear in her requirements. Your gloss and shine was what made me want to work with you on this because of the way you bring clarity to chaotic calamity. Although my chaos is different, you were able to do extract the grit and glam like tragedy masks, widening the breadth of the emotional foundation. HOLY MOLY. It's super cool how you kept a lot of the original sounds intact/familiar but used them in completely different ways, like how you used the one-off synth sounds as percussion (small detail I know, but I really appreciated it!!), and how you layered the synth melody is gorgeous. The slight pitch bend you put on the guitar chords sounds soooo good, and the kicks sound punchy as hell!

The way the track progresses is stellar, really enjoy how you give the guitar time to shine in the middle, just a nice breather after how chaotic it was in the first part. The buildup after that just makes the vox lead you added near the end even more beautiful and moving. Such an incredible take on the track, I don't have enough nice things to say about it! On my 3rd listen in a row already, so much to take in.

I worked with Angel on my latest album from both a mixing and mastering perspective. I recently had the pleasure of listening to ‘Fire-Toolz’ and I was absolutely amazed by her artistry and skills. Angel gave me more than just help with my album, she showed me the details and perspectives I need to be able to apply to any work going forward. If you want your album to sound nothing short of amazing, hire Angel. The level of detail is outstanding. Not only does she have incredible knowledge in this field, she’s been doing it for years. For someone who’s pumped out countless albums under countless aliases, she’s obviously self-driven and passionate about everything she does. That’s someone you want mastering your album. It’s not just about making money! She loves what she does and is willing to put in the work to make it sound the best it can. I was able to explain my vision and what I want the album to sound like and she was able to execute it better then I could have ever imagined. We've commissioned Angel for many of our releases and we aren't planning on changing that. She's an absolute musical engineering wizard (artificer perhaps?). When we were first starting out, we were very inexperienced, yet she was so incredibly kind, patient and willing to work with us. Even with the sub-optimal files we sent her, she was able to pull some sort of miracle and make it sound AMAZING on every single medium. J'ai contacté Angel pour faire le mastering des 2 albums de mon projet Pyroclastes, musique expérimentale qui mélange de l'ambient, de la musique concrète, avec une atmosphère assez sombre et pesante. Angel est parfaitement à l'aise avec ce genre de trucs. Elle a réussi à rendre ma musique plus présente et détaillée, quitte à faire ressortir des détails inaudibles au mixage, tout en restant suffisamment fidèle au profil dynamique des tracks. Le résultat est toujours surprenant à la première écoute (voire très surprenant, si comme moi tu n'es pas un professionnel du mixage), mais s'avère rapidement convainquant. Si il y a des choses à corriger, il est possible de faire ses remarques et elle procède aux modifications. C'est toujours un plaisir d'écouter sa musique sur un nouveau dispositif et se rendre compte que ça passe bien aussi dessus.

Les interactions avec Angel sont agréables, Angel est très réactive et bosse vite. Rien à dire. Elle fournit une fiche d'infos qui répond vraiment à toutes tes questions, ça facilite grandement le travail. Tout est bien pensé. Pro.
